At Upper Kittitas County Youth Baseball & Softball Association ( we know that parents are the heart of our league. Your encouragement, involvement, and partnership help create the positive, character-building experience we want every child to have.
This page will guide you through what to expect as a UKCYBSA parent, how to stay connected, and how you can get involved.
⚾ What to Expect Each Season

Season Dates: April through early June
-
Practice/Game Frequency: 1–3 times per week depending on division

Fields Used: Roslyn Park and Memorial Park
-
Divisions Offered: Ages 4–12 (T-Ball, Rookies, Minors, Majors, Softball Divisions)

Game Communication: All teams use the GameChanger app for schedules, alerts, and updates

Team Placement: Players are assigned to teams based on league age and, when applicable, player evaluations in February

Review and sign the required Sport Parent Code of Conduct

Ensure your player arrives on time and ready for practices/games

Support the coaching staff by encouraging effort and teamwork

Model good sportsmanship from the sidelines

Age eligibility is based on your child’s age as of May 1, 2025

All coaches and volunteers must pass a background check

Players moving up divisions may require a tryout

Players must demonstrate good sportsmanship to remain in good standing
